OUR HISTORY

The company E.Bourgeois was founded in 1922 by M. E. BOURGEOIS, an engineer graduate from Arts & Métiers, he was the technical manager of the company Kellner & Bechereau and the production manager of the fighter « SPAD » , the GUYNEMER’s aircraft, 1914-1918.

1922 : Conversion to the weaving of industrial tapes for the electrotechnical insulation, aeronautic and car industry.

1948 : Development of the weaving of the glass tapes with the help of st gobain.

1953 : Development of the « braiding » activity with insulating sleevings varnished or not, cords, twists, small cords, laces….

1960 : Production of civil and military belts

1990 : Development of thermal products , cords , heat seals..

TODAY

The head office and the factory are located near Amiens and at 120 km in the north of Paris.

Total surface area : 15 000 m2
Covered surface area : 8 000 m2
A flexible team (average age 35) working in the reseach and the development of specific products for our customers.
Our activities are the weaving, braiding, knitting and we have also developed impregnated, coated and dyed products.
